Beautifully stated, Dena. Profound simplicity.

May I comment, without taking anything away from the lovely piece of writing. Could it really be said to be this vs that? Or is it all included?Even the interpretations are included, and yet transcended?

Yes, even the interpretations of It are It. *Everything* is It, however It appears. Look for yourself, and see if that’s the case.

“This vs that” is true, but only from within a perspective. Reality includes all perspectives. The dichotomy (of this vs that) sits in the Totality. In other words, the dual is what the nondual happens to look like. No need to “transcend” anything. The issue I was getting at in this particular piece was the habit of mistakenly believing that the interpretations are the real thing.

Be careful about not getting hung up on the exact wording of pointers :) This vs. that is just a way to encourage people to see something they may not have noticed before.

Yes, the interpretations are themselves radiant presence. They appear, so they must be included, right? The trick is seeing them as not fundamentally "true." They just are what they are: limited, conceptual interpretations. Useful in their own way; nothing needing to be expunged. But neither do we want to be deceived into believing they are The Whole Truth :) What's true is what's here. They are here, yes, but they are only *a small part* of what's here. Yoga is about recognizing the sheer (infinite!) scope of what's here always.
